Okay, in part one we were discussing the absurdity of the statement of how hard would it be to sell water to a guy dying of thirst in the desert to writing articles and making money online.

Our story left off with a guy coming in and giving away free compasses with the purchase of the sports drink so the dying guy in the desert can find his way back out. After this happens, some of the guys say hey, you know what? We can put another station on the path back to civilization to sell to that guy again!

And then along comes a tourist who really does not want to walk back out and convinces one of the guys selling water or sports drinks to give him a ride on his way home, which of course he’d be glad to pay for.

That seller comes back the next day with a new strategy and now sells rides out of the desert and when you buy your ticket, you get all the water of sports drinks you want!

Now, one guy in particular figures there is enough lost tourist with enough money to actually sell helicopter rides back out of the desert and he sets up his operation.

Meanwhile, the African safari company is getting a bad rap on all these tourists they are losing so they set up a FREE service to get those who are lost back home all safe and sound and feeling very grateful to the safari company for offering this additional service.

So, the original guy who started all this is certainly out of business by now and if he isn’t, he sure isn’t selling many bottles of water when people can now get not only water for free but sports drinks as well and a free ride home.

This is exactly what happens in each and every niche you ever go into. Once it is seen as profitable you will face a lot of competition and you have to be the guy who always has the next best thing to offer the market or you will not last for long at all.

One of the best ways to create longevity and establish yourself as an expert in any niche is to write and publish articles. Article marketing that connects with the reader and keeps up with the changing landscape of your niche is the guy who will last the longest and make the most money.

When you write an article, you need to connect with your reader and there are certain ways to do this, so look out for the third installment of this series on how to write articles that will make you lots of money.

When I first started writing articles to try and send traffic to my website, I went online to see if anyone was teaching us new folks just how to write articles that will connect with the reader and lead to a sale and therefore make you money.

There was a lot of advice out there that said to find a hungry market, see what that market is hungry for, and then give it to them. This was usually followed up with the cliché, how good of a salesman do you have to be to sell water to a guy dying of thirst in the desert? What?

Okay, what are the odds of someone having lots of water on them in the middle of the desert and come across someone with no water dying of thirst? And if you then tried to sell them that water wouldn’t that make you kind of a jerk?

More likely the person with the water is there because they know someone is going to pass by them without any water and they are seizing on an opportunity. Maybe there is a safari guide that brings tourist through this part of the desert and stops here for photo ops and every once in a while a tourist or two wonders off from the group for that once in a lifetime picture and gets lost.

That’s cool so far and follows the idea of finding a market and putting yourself in front of it with what that market wants. But, how long do you think this little niche of his is going to remain undiscovered? Most folks on African safari have a lot of money and if they need life saving water they will probably pay a pretty penny for it.

So, in comes the competition only the next guy is selling his water cheaper than you are, or worse, he is selling a sports drink with electrolytes and salts vital for rehydration…these lost folks do need to walk back out of the dessert so plain old water just will not cut it.

And then you get the guy who says well these folks are lost, how about I point them in the right direction to get them home and give them a free compass with their sports drink purchase?

And then… Well, you need to go to part two to find out who one ups the guy with the compass and what all this has to do with article marketing that connects with the reader and makes you money.

Busy moms, laid off dads… Even hungry college students, they’re all looking for ways to make money online… What about you?

I Need to Make Money Fast, Can I Do it on the Internet?

Well yes! Thousands of people from all across the globe make money on the Internet and so can you. Now, can you make that money fast and can you make enough to quit your job, well that depends.

The fact that the gurus are making millions online means it can be done. Okay, so if it can be done, why isn’t everyone doing it? Well, those same gurus that tell you it doesn’t take a lot of work are lying to you.

Technically they aren’t lying when they say they are lazy beach bums and do hardly any work at all. They once did do the work and now outsource the majority of it to free lancers or employees, so technically they can advertise that they don’t do a lot of work but the implied message is you won’t have to either and that is BS.

Don’t get me wrong, it is not back breaking unenjoyable work. I actually think making money on the Internet is not only fun but darn interesting to…. It’s like a game. And I love to play games and I love to win even more!

Hell, making money online is the easy part in all this. Making it fast and in the amounts needed to quit your day job are the parts that take a little work but it is certainly doable by just about everyone, including you.

You just have to get a plan of action together and then take action…massive, consistent action always moving towards your goals and not letting anyone or anything stand in your way!

If no one was making any money online than I would tell you to not even bother. But that is not the case. People are making anywhere from a couple of dollars a day to a million a day and no one is any more deserving than the next guy as to how much he can knock down, it is totally up to you and you alone.

Don’t doubt yourself or think that making money on the Internet is a scam. Just find someone you can trust to teach you how to do it because this is where most people fail. There is one big ass learning curve and it will kill your momentum if you go it alone not t mention the money and time it will cost you in mistakes made. Just DO IT!

When researching affiliate programs, it is important to consider several factors:
1. Is the affiliate program pay-per-lead or pay-per-sale?
2. What is the dollar amount or percentage of the payouts?
3. How often are commissions sent out?

Affiliate Networks differ because once you sign up to be a part of the Affiliate Network, then you may browse different affiliate programs based on criteria such as: Health and Fitness, Home and Family, Internet, Money and Employment, etc. You can also usually search for an affiliate program based on a keyword or search term/phrase.
