Why I Love Switched-on Schoolhouse Curriculum

Like Linda (in the video demo below) whose family loves using the Switched-on Schoolhouse (SOS) curriculum, my family also never regretted of using the SOS home school curriculum. Before I used the SOS curriculum I was completely clueless as to where and how to start home schooling.
When I started using this curriculum (2009) I never had a school calendar and a lesson plan. Actually I never knew that we need a school calendar and a lesson plan until a few weeks ago after I read a few home schooling books at the library. With Switched-on Schoolhouse you have the option to create them but I just have the default setting to do the work.
After the software installation the kids started their school work right away. The main thing why I like Switched-on Schoolhouse as a home school mom is — 95% of the kid’s school work is graded automatically. Also I don’t need to tell the students what subjects or lessons that they are going to work on. After they log in and click the link that says “Click to see your schoolwork” the today’s lessons will pop up.
I know what it’s like grading kid’s school work. A few years ago I worked as a teacher’s aide and grading their school work was a pain. The school hired me just to do the grading.
Home schooling is a job so Switched-on Schoolhouse curriculum is really a Godsend home school program.
